I just check my Compression its 240-243 on all cylinder

the car has a 10.8:1 compression ratio. but i dont know how to translate that to PSI per cylinder.

but this is the sparkplug after 400 MILES

I'm worry about it being so HIGH. i think it will blow a gasket or something

There is no way to relate 10.8:1 compression ratio to PSI, there are other factors ...

The compression ratio just explains the amount of compression the air/fuel mixture undergoes between BDC and TDC. For example: a if a piston at BDC allows 1000 cc of mixture to enter the chamber and then rises to TDC, compressing that space to 100cc, your compression ratio would be 1000:100 or simplified; 10:1. In your case it is 1080:100 or 10.8:1. A compression test is merely testing the seal between the piston rings and cylinder wall, the valve timing/spacing, the head gasket, and really big issues like a burnt up piston.

edit: Now that I look at that plug more closely, like sunlitcomet said, there seems to be some oil residue. How is the oil consumption on that engine? Has it been eating a lot of oil lately?

Oil Consumption is great. it does not consume any oil at all.

How about the 240 PSI on each compression. it seems to be really high.

maybe that is why my Engine is Knocking..

maybe i need to run on a higher Octane gas? going to fill it up with 91 Octane in mexico and lets see what happen. Its $3.20 Gallon in mexico for 91 gas.

i dont think its oil.

its gas that made it Wet... I did not remove the Fuel Pump when i did the compression check..
