That's not a Yukon in the second pic, so... How can you compare?

they've done scientific studies stating that they dont really deflect a significant amount more of bugs and it just adds air resistance, so unless you just like them for cosmetic or mod reasons, save your $ and do something else with it

I bought mine just to hide rock chips on my hood until I have the money for a repaint and/or a completely new hood :D

I've heard good things about the clear plastic film but have never used it myself...

What scientific studies? Most threads I've read on this subject say at the very least they protect your hood from rock chips.

And these guys say they are 90% effective in deflecting bugs.

I took a long trip after installing mine and I definitely noticed a big difference in the number of times I had to clean my windshield. Maybe the conditions were different...maybe not.

Will report after I get back from a trip I'm planning through the South. Imagine there will be bugs aplenty.

I'm also a believer in the film. Did a great job in protecting my Vette. First thing I had done when I bought my Denali.

BTW, there is a pic that shows the deflector pretty well in my member album pics.

Of the 2 choices I think I prefer the one that goes all the way across the hood. Just looks nicer to me.
