Imo yes realistically nobody gives value more just because its modified. Sad but true and used id say i could get it private party in the low 20s and at the dealer actions high teens. Glws tho hopefully someone wants it and doesnt have to put alot into it

You can get 24-25k for it pretty easily in a private sell. Just give it time.
$28k is too much. But leave it around 27k and cut deals with CL offers.

:imo:

I would mildly de-mod the truck....... and sell the parts on CL or even here.

Omit statements like "deleted" resonator in ad........... some people are dummies and they think you tinkered with it too much / or did something illegal (especially when it is exhaust related)....and anyway it is not a big deal.....everyone here has them anyway.

I personally would downplay the mods and draw attention to the great factory options this truck has.

CraigsList has all types of clowns on it, appealing to a vast audience ensures a quicker sale....... I have sold a lot of cars there and on AutoTrader.com.

Then sell.......

Again :imo: and what I would do.

The 23.5k trade offer from a dealer is pretty damn good. plus when you trade in a car you save a LOT on taxes so take that into consideration too. normally I'd say sell it private party but damn I think I'd take that Trade in Value. I've sold my last two cars (01 Tahoe and 08 Tahoe) both on CL. The 01 took a week and the 08 took two weeks to sell. I listed my mods as main selling points and they definitely helped the car sell faster :imo:

I just traded in my 08 LT1 4x4 with 25k miles, got 27 which felt really good and taxes here are almost 10% so it close to 29.5k considering that savings on the new car. Well worth it considering my best private party offer was 28.

Only bad thing is, looking online this week and seeing my tahoe listed for $33,900.
