can anyone tell me if there is a vac line or sensor that goes to the trans .i asking because i changed out my fan clutch and now im gettin a big fan sound like the truck is straining from 1st to 2nd then to 3rd after that alls well until i come to a complete stop then have to go thru it again .it usually revs to about 3000 rpm in 1st before it shifts same with 2nd it almost sounds like a big rig drivin off.oh and it dosent seem to have the pull until i hit 3rd gear

you have a new fan clutch and it will sound like that until it warms up or if you run

the ac. now if it still does it after 30 min of driving then it could be something else.

have you changed the trans filter & fluid?

torqflo/fan clutch note: heavyduty thermal value offering lighter duty than o.e thats what it said on az site.after lookin maybe i should have got the premium xtrem duty for suv light trucks and motor homes that operate at an higher rpm .since it being a lighter duty could be workin a little harder than the oe part.im sorry guys for all the questions but i really want to get the truck back up to par before winter .i live in memphis so we get really ****** summers and even worse winters no snow just rain and ice

It is a 4x4 right? Try going to Kragen if possible and getting a Hayden fan clutch, the heavy duty one. I will dig up the part number for you tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure your fan clutch and shift problems are separate problems. The systems don't touch each other, and aren't close to each either, unless something obvious happened, like your fan ate your cooling lines, but that would be pretty obvious. :)
