Hi all,

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe and getting a service park assist error message on the dash. I've done a ton of searching online and can't seem to find a solution to this.

If anyone knows how to fix this error, I would appreciate your help.

Thanks!!

To do this effectively, I think you are going to need to scan for codes as they will hopefully point you towards the failure rather than throw parts at it.

If you know of anyone with a Tech 2, that may be the best option. Otherwise, the dealer may be your best bet.

Good luck.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks Mark ... Did some more prodding, and seems like it's the sensors that are in the bumper. Just have to replace the one that's bad. Fortunately, don't have to use a computer. Ordered the replacement sensors and should be all set.. Thanks for the help! :)

Hey, I'm in the same boat! None of my scanners will pick up the park assist dtc's.. from what i have read, if you live in a place with lots of rain, snow, gravel roads and mud, you have to annually pull the sensors out and clean them off and inspect the harness, also a functional sensor will buzz or hum?
On a brighter note the bay has 4 sensor deals for under 50$ CAD so at least parts are cheap! :leghump:

Yep! I didn't have the scanner but just searched around and found that it was a rear bumper sensor code. You are correct -- I don't have the original message anymore, but supposedly there is a buzzing noise from the ones that work. I noticed that one did come loose but been having a downpour for last several days so going to wait for it to be dry before I tackle it. I ordered a replacement one from Amazon. Not OEM, but a lot cheaper. Hopefully that'll do it.. It seems like it's the common thing for what trips up that message.

One other thing I read was that the error message may not clear immediately after.. someone mentioned that the manual mentioned that it will reset after 15 miles of driving once the sensors are all clear. Not sure if that's the case, but will give it a try.

Good luck!!
