I bought an '02 tahoe about 6 weeks ago. Drove it for about 3 weeks and then had shoulder surgery. It was only driven a couple times in the last 3 weeks when my wife took me to the doctor. Now that I can drive, I have the service ride control light on. I've read other posts and have a good idea of possible problems but want to know if its gonna affect my daily driving if I'm not pulling anything.
I've checked all the fuses and visually checked the shocks and wiring connections. Everything looks good as far as I can tell. Is there an easy way to check the compressor and airbags.

I have an 01 Yukon that my service control light came on I bought it from a used car dealer over a year ago and they had swap the suspension from air ride to springs/ shocks but I believe left the compressor in it. I want to know why is this light on now and how to turn it off

Disconnect the - on battery, pull the RTD fuse from fuse box under hood, reconnect battery.
