You need a diagnostic tool that can read the ABS system; the SPS is part of that system. I have a Tech 2 clone that was able to read mine.

I hooked it up to a Solus and it showed code c0710. I'm assuming it's bad just want to make sure I haven't missed something else before pulling it. I'm assuming that you can test it with a multimeter with it off the vehicle, just hoping there was a way with it on.

The Solus should be able to read the actual steering angle being output from the sensor. It should read smoothly as you rotate the steering wheel, + and - degrees.
