Hi

I need help with a stock 99 GMC Yukon that shakes horribly while braking at high speeds - (especially while going down hill it seems). The only time it shakes is while braking above about 40 mph. The brake pedal does not seem to grab or pulsate - just the front end. The front brakes look fine. We have replaced the rear drums and brakes. We replaced the shocks and struts also, but these have not seemed to fix the problem.

Thanks! Lisa

Most likely your rotors like previously mentioned, but has the truck been sitting long? Could also be flat spots in the tires as well if that's the case.

Guess What? My rotors were warped...replaced them with new ones and now it drives like a dream...Thanks! We didn't think it was the rotors since we had them turned just a bit ago. At least it was an easy fix!

unknown at this time.
The rotors might not have been seated properly when they were machined. Should have put some power-slots and hawk pads on when you did it.
