Here is an article from FSC. You have to be a registered member to see the articles so I just cut an pasted in case you weren't a member...

Ok guys here is my official thread on installing New Body Style 99+ handles on a pre 99' Old Body Style truck.

Here is the main reason I did this swap. This door panel was severely warped from 2 break-ins where the thief used a screwdriver to get into my truck. This is also a very common way for them to get into your OBS and NBS trucks.

And here are the donor pieces I cut out. You can see the damage from the wreck on one of the doors. They were roughly cut cus it was hot and I just wanted to get them out. I gave myself plenty of room to grind down. The piece on the right is the shape I ended up with.

Here is where I cutout my door to the same shape I cut the donor pieces to. You have to make sure you know where you cut so the handle will line up straight with the rods. I used the existing handle slot as a start for the cut.

Here is the door with the donor skins tacked into place. The tack welds were all tacked into place completely opposite from each other to avoid warping until a complete row of tacks were done. Now it is ready for grinding.

Here is the driver door with filler and primer.

Here is the door with the handle primed and bolted in.

Here is the truck painted with the new handles. The handles operate the same as the OBS handles in which they push down and pull on the rods the same way. So all you have to do is shorten and or bend the rods to work and they will work well.

Here's a full pic. with primer so you can see it better.

We did the same on my bro's truck.

When I get to the exterior of the truck my idea is to

Color match the front handles and shave and suicide the rear doors.

I rarely have passengers anyway, at least if they poop the fronts will open.

For some reason I am not a fan of the NBS handles.

I'm not too fond of shaved handles. Even though they make emergency releases, I still dont feel safe with them.

If I were to do my door handles, I'd want these --> http://www.kindigit.com/store.php
By far the best looking in my opinion. Granted they are a little on the pricey side but, they will definately set it off in the style department as well as being very functional. And, I doubt you'll ever have to worry about them breaking.
