Shift Interlock?

Of late, I cannot remove my key unless when I put it in park and the "P" is illuminated. Sometimes I have to juggle the shifter to get the "P" to illuminate. Is this a shift interlocker failing? Is ut mechanical or electrical? Part numbers? Thanks!

I would say it would be your neutral safety switch
