Hi all,

I have a 2007 Tahoe LT, 5.3L 4-spd, stock. Even when at WOT truck shifts 1st to 2nd at around 4800 rpm. It seems a bit too soon compared to videos I have seen on youtube. Recently cleaned TB and tranny oil is good.

No issues at all, shifting is smooth, just curious if this is normal for a stock Tahoe?

Yep, my tuned 2007 shifts very strong at 5750 RPM as well at WOT. Before the tune it wasn't that much lower at WOT. I'd think about getting it checked out.

You can adjust your shift points with a hand held device, my question is "why are you flooring a truck from dead stop'?, I mean what is the point? There is no LSD, so what is accomplished?, a one wheel burn out?.These trucks are not setup to be a performance race vehicle. JMHO

Thanks for replies everyone.

I will get it checked out next time I take it in to the mechanic. I am not "racing" the Tahoe or anything, just want to be able to get all the power I can out of it when needed (say merging onto a highway, etc.). 5.3L gets the maximum 310hp at 5200 rpm, which I can't even reach.
