I've got an 04 yukon XL that I'm wanting to swap shocks on. I currently have Nivomat shocks (ZW7 premium ride). It looks like Arnott/Bilstein have a kit to convert to standard shocks - https://www.arnottindustries.com/part_GMC_yid15_pid96_gid783.html

Any opinions? ~ $700 to convert to standard or ~ $850 to stay with ZW7, I think.

Both options have a lifetime warranty.

I'm not looking at towing anything regularly and have 5 people in my household.

Any thoughts or suggestions related to which replacement option would be better are greatly appreciated!

If you shop around you can get this set up from Bilstein piece by piece for half the price. I just bought the shocks (4600's) for $120 a pair. From an ebay seller "hardpartsfast." The springs can be found for $76.18 a pair from ebay seller "neverenoughauto." If you would like to go the amazon route both sellers are on there as well.

I have not installed it yet still awaiting the rear shocks, I ordered them after the fronts arrived.

By the way, the set you show is for the autoride conversion not the Nivomat setup.

The 5100's are not direct bolt ons from what I have been told. They they require a slightly smaller bolt size from what I have been told. Bilstein sems to recommend 5100's for lifted trucks also.

They are sellers in the marketplace so they will not qualify for prime shipping. The Amazon price (prime shipping) is slightly more expensive when I looked it up last week.

Oh ok. Sounds like the 4600 is the better path since I won't have mine lifted and don't do any towing.

Lemme know how your install goes!

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I recently got the parts in for my shock/spring swap. How did your install go? Did you use a guide online or am I showing my ignorance by admitting to needing a guide?
