In my slow quest to modify my Tahoe, I have considered removing the factory rack. I am looking for a good deal on an esky rack, but till then, what do you think about removing it? Does de-racking only look good on lowered trucks?

Here are some pics as it sits now. (From my phone, so quality isn't great)
Thanks for any input.

I think it looks good without it. I drove around without mine while they were drying and like it. The only thing that I HATED was the fact that you can see the studs the bolts go into and it looks like crap.

Did you buy "set screws", or use screws with heads on them?

I just left the screws out. It wasn't too bad until I walked up on it or if I was parked somewhere that when walking back I was a little higher up.
