The spokes is not where the wheel bolts on. I don’t know how to help u understand but that 5.5”u have in that picture is measuring from the spokes and not where it bolts on to. It’s just wrong

By the way, the example shown in your vid is a +18 offset,... mine is a 0 offset....which I expected to be set back a bit closer to center of rim.
On a side note; Ive seen this guy Shawn do a couple Norcal Mods,..and I wouldnt let him NEAR my trucks. lol.

Again that’s a stock photo... that could be a 10” wheel or a 12” wheel for all we know. u need an actual photo.

It's just the design of the wheel. The offset is always gonna be measured from where it contacts the hub. That's what offset is. It really has nothing to do with where the spokes are located. I feel ya, though, on it being a little deceiving with the pic.

Here's a set of 15x8 (0 offset) polished aluminum's in my garage that came off one of my old gmt's,...hmm look at all that lip on an 8" wheel.
It really boils down to how the manufactures are making wheels today,...deep dish is just not in style anymore and the manufacturers take advantage of that because it less finish work to the curbside.

Deep dish is what all the guys put on there lifted trucks. It’s in style. The wheels that u just posted look like a small lip to me. But regardless they are different style of wheels. Every wheel is different. I’m done replying because this is retarded

Well i didnt mean to upset you,... I thought we were discussing different wheel variations. Possibly if youd been around cars as long as I have maybe you wouldnt have been so condescending by saying "you cant get a lip on an 8" wheel", back in the day when (0) offset meant just that,...that the hub would be bolted to the CENTER of the wheel, roughly the same location as the spokes. Instead, on the wheels I got, the hub is centered but the spokes are +offset nearly 5" to the outside.... to me that is a marketing ploy and a way for wheel companies to cheap out. I mean theoretically you could get as much lip as the rim will allow based on the offset,...in simple terms, an 8" rim with -2" offset should yield aprox 4-5" of lip...again, old school thinking.
