Well I replalced it with an aftermarket one that had good reviews, it cost $80. It worked for 2 days and the side detection LED blew out and it also has a slightly different LED matrix pattern than the OEM is my biggest gripe.
Going to return this aftermarket one and get the OEM unit.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone was wondering what the difference was between the $80 aftermarket one and the $250 OEM. Most reviews of the aftermarket don't go into any real details.
1)The LED matrix is different for the blinkers and side detection(you can tell when they light up)
2)The OEM has a better field of view than the aftermarket for the side blinkers (wider azimuth angle)
3)The aftermarket has a slightly different heating element(didn't test it but I can tell by looking at it)
4)The OEM has material on the sides such that when the mirror is fully tilted (left or right), it blocks your view of seeing inside the mirror housing
5)The color temp of the aftermarket is very close, but you can tell a slight difference if you analyze it(Not a huge deal).
6)The OEM has better environmental enclosure for the electronics (epoxy)
