Hello folks.
Of course over the years, I've seen countless slammed rods, trucks, SUVs, etc.
Pertaining particularily to the OBS Tahoe, how do you folks "slam" a vehicle, then get monstrous wagon wheels to tuck within?
I know many slam 2 wheel drives, but I'm gathering that 4 bys are also on the scene as well.
So, what's the trick? Spindles, the offset of a wheel, chopping out fender wells, what? I imagine in high cost rigs, one might resort to narrowing rear axles, etc, but I'm not wishing to discuss such exhorbitant cost modified vehicles, just basics.
I'm not looking for an encyclopedia explanation, but how can you folks "tuck" such 22's, 24's, and larger under these vehicles?
What sort of offsets are typically used?
This post is of course one which I hope to be a bit enlightened, and educated.
I'm a dummy on stuff like this, and would like learning more for knowledge, and hopefully create a good thread here, where other members here can contribute some wise basic knowledge, which seems to not be written in any books.
Thanks all, Mark
