I saw a post that someone made putting on a steering stabilizer, and I have known my steering was getting loose and sloppy for a while, most likely from off-roading. I talked to some guys at 4 wheel parts and they said that a stabilizer wouldn't help, and just bandage the real problem, which may be the case. I bought this stabilizer by KYB from amazon and made an easy install. I did have to drill an additional hole in the frame which took only a minute. After the install WOW what a difference!
The test drive after was very impressive. Before, every imperfection in the road I would feel in the wheel, potholes, rocks, etc. would cause the steering wheel to move. There was simply no resistance in my steering. This stabilizer I tried going over curbs at an angle so only one wheel hits first and the steering wheel kept mostly straight. Usually the steering wheel would start spinning, causing my Yukon to turn.
This is especially nice for long trips, I am attending ASU and drive from here and back home to San Diego a bit, makes for a much nicer drive when you don't have to always be fighting to keep the wheel straight.
I would HIGHLY recommend tightening up the bolts and using bolt lock on the threads. After a few hundred miles I lost a main bolt and it left the whole thing hanging under my car. And if the bolts get loose, the effects of the stabilizer will not work.
Great purchase, if you are experiencing sloppy steering or have larger tires I would highly recommend this. Even if your steering isn't bad and you do some off-road driving, this will help protect the steering components so your steering system will last longer.
Easy install but I will get some pics up soon.
