Slow as in takes a long time to catch and run, or slow cranking? Need more info. If you could, post a vid on youtube and link it here of it starting.

I'll assume slow cranking since you already replaced the battery, I would replace both positive and negative cables, you should probably step up the gauge a little now while you are buying parts ...

I'll just throw this out there.
Back when my 91 K5 5.7l Blazer was on the road and not a bush buggy, it once had a very slow turnover. It ended up being a bad alternator. It was shorting out causing a locking/brake action that made the truck hard to start. Only when at night I randomly saw sparky lights under the hood when starting, did I end up replacing the ALT the next day, and like magic it started up fine after that.

Short story, a bad alternator could also cause slow starting.

Offtopic:

I remember my ex starting my Camaro after the sun went down one nite, I saw sparks from underneath. The next day the brand new tranny cable wouldn't budge. Turned out I had a bad main ground and it was using the tranny cable and essentially welding itself together. :D
