Recently put on new 20x9 wheels with +18 offset. Doing a smallish lift, because of offset, I can't do spindles like I wanted, but will probably just go for around 2.5" key lift and 1" rear spring spacers. Putting in new shocks as well, likely the Bilstein 5100s.
I'm trying to make a decision on tires. Ride and noise are pretty important, offroad performance is minimally important (just a 2WD), but I do want a more aggressive look than the Toyo Proxes IIs I have now. Currently running 285/50r20s (31.2X11.2r20) with zero rubbing.
I want to go to a larger and more aggressive-appearing tire and am wondering with this modest lift what I can get without having to resort to trimming anything.
I am looking at the Toyo Open Country A/T II in a 275/60r20 (33X10.8r20) or something similar.
I'm open to suggestions... I've done some searching here, but it's hard to find much on 20" wheels with small lifts. Honestly most folks with 20" wheels seem to go more with the "street" look than the "offroad" look. I'm not looking for a huge monster lift or rock crawler appearance, just something a bit more aggressive in appearance than what I have right now.
Here is what I'm working with:
I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer. I thought I had time, but my tires need replacing now, so I need to rush the lift first, so I can check clearance for sure and then order tires. I guess I'll be driving my Z for the next week or two...
