Smoked corners and tails....

Wondering what the best way to put a dark smoke on my corners and tails is on my 96 2DR Hoe. Don't want to put caps on and the only replacement ones i can seem to find online have a very light smoke to them. Looking to more or less black them out but keep function. Ideas or suggestions?

You could use VHT niteshade spray tint. A lot of people use it on their tails. Not sure how its going to look on headlights (if its going to get weathered) Your corners are seperate than the headlight correct? I think itd look good just pop them off. Put a few coats on and clearcoat to seal it and your good to go.

You can buy the niteshade off ebay for about 15 bucks a can. You'll use barely any of the can for just that. I hear some people say local autozones carry it, none do around here though, that or napa carries it. You might get lucky local.

I used VHT Nightshade on mine. Cleaned the light added a few coats then buffed it with plastic polish. I only wanted a slight tint though.

Mine were painted with black mixed in with the clear and they came out perfect.

Watch out when using the niteshades on clear lights because it has some red in it and will make your headlights have a red tint to them.

VHT Nightshades is the way to go. Napa had it around here so just call around and someone will know who sells it locally. Make sure your coats of nightshade are extremely light. its not like putting a coat of paint on a piece of plastic. 3-4 LIGHT coats then a couple coats of clear and you should be dark enough to draw some unwanted attention.
