Hi all,

I have been shopping around for smoked tail lights that are professionally painted and found this guy on eBay:

http://myworld.ebay.com/smoked_lights?ssPageName=ADME:X:CEM:US:1181

I talked to him about buying a set of smoked Denali tail lights, and he told me that it can only be done on regular Yukon tail lights, because:

The denali lights will not light up at all after being painted. The Denali lights outside is clear. It's like painting a window black. The light has to go through the reflector and outside the clear

I decided against buying from him because he pressured me to buy right away and also outside of eBay (which is also against their policy). I also feel like he might just not have Denali tails..

So can the Denali tails be safely smoked with paint professionally? I did a search but not much has been said about Denali tails.

BTW... my Blackbear Autocal arrived today :rocking:

I doubt they would show as good as regular lights, plus why get denali lights if you are just going to tint them?

I already have Denali lights since I have the Denali...

I was planning to only get a medium-ish tint, so I think it would be noticable that they are regular Yukon tails not Denali tails.. which would look weird on a Denali

Yes you can definitely tint them... i'd suggest getting some LED tail's and tinting those so you can see the bright LED lights light up over the tint.
