Smoked G4's

I got my G4's today (a day early) from revotec. I smoked my yukon lights and im going to do the same to my G4's but I want to leave the reverse light clear. I'm just wondering how to go about doing this, just tape over it and paint as usual?

yes just tape the reverse and then spray the tint then remov the tint and spray clear. Thats the best so you don't get a lip from the tint to the reverse.

Thats exactly what I plan on doing to mine. Btw im assuming the reverse bulb is the same number as the stock tahoe/yukon reverse bulb? I may order LEDs before I order the lights and I want to make sure I can transfer the bulb.

Thanks guys, I was planning to have them smoked and installed by today, but I'm having serious trouble disconnecting the wiring harness from the old lights. The previous owner drove through dirt everyday and the entire bottom is caked in mud, making the clips of the harness become almost welded together

I dont want to put any liquid on it, wouldn't that cause a short if it got into the harness?

Ya I know, I've been trying to get it unhook for 2 days now I just mean that I dont want to try and put any liquid around where the harness connects to each other. But I have decided that tomorrow one way or another its coming off......

Is it the harness that you have to press down and pull or the type with the little white slide lock?
