So, how long do the dash panels last before they start cracking?

I bought this '11 Tahoe from the original owner and it is a nice unit. The only downside is that the dash is cracked which is normal. I am seriously considering buying another dash panel from the factory and replacing it. So the question is for anyone that may have purchased theirs new. How long did it take before your dash started cracking? The new panels are pricey (shipping cost is the real killer) and I am trying to decide if it would be worth the price.

if you get it from a dealer there is no shipping cost, as for how long the new design last's no telling.

you can get it from any GM dealer, call around and don't be afraid to ask for a discount many dealers will give a % off all you have to do is ask and the worse they can say is no

Try another dealer or save the $500 and buy from that online one.

One local dealer here is similar. I can order from another one shipped to my door for the rip off prices they want.

In northern climates they last longer. My 2009 has no cracks and it was covered up years ago with a dash mat. My 2013s dash came cracked, it's from Oklahoma.

The typical airbag crack was caused by the bracket screw underneath being too tight.

3. No cracks or interior fading/damage.

If you don’t garage it the ceramic tint really helps though.
