I'm selling my truck ergo the tuner is for sale. Asking $250 shipped anywhere in the continental US.
I got a tune and installed it and it was great. Then my friend blew up my motor and I had to replace it so I haven't even had it out of the box in 2 years.

Those are questions best suited for JennaBear on the BB Performance forum. However, I can tell you that there is a software download, that was free and then you will need to send the tune file you create to them via email. They send it back tuned and you load it to the tuner and install. I'm not what you'd call tech savvy and i was able to do it with minimal instruction from BBP.

Yes they're VIN specific but each Autocal (which is the tuner he's selling here) can be licensed to many VIN's. Not sure how many but I believe it's 10-15 vehicles. You would need to purchase a VIN license for your truck and the tune, which is currently $325 for both. BB sells the Autocal and tune for $599 so you can do the math to figure out what the Autocal alone is worth. Also, you should talk with Blackbear to make sure this tuner is not locked. I'm pretty sure it isn't but stranger things have happened. Good luck with the sale @Soundmound .

Thanks for all the added info, I believe that I’ll just stick with the Range device for now. Little more than I was planning on spending.

A Blackbear tune is the best performance you can add to your truck for the price. All it would cost you in the end is the $325 because you could sell the Autocal again. I guarantee you'd be amazed at the difference in the added power and improved shifting and throttle response. Ask anybody on here who has got a tune from them.

He's not wrong. It was a significant performance upgrade and the shifting was markedly better. Additionally, the were able to correct for the +3 tire upgrade when i went to '07 OEM 20's making my speedo correct.

The BB tune is worth its weight in gold. Yes, you gain some power, but the real beauty of it, in my opinion, is that it makes your vehicle much more efficient and pleasant to drive----better throttle response, better shift firmness & shift points ( to maximize the motor's powerband), quicker downshifting with less pedal pressure. Just a far superior driving & performance profile versus stock.
