Today I bought a dream truck of mine a quad can short box, it's a 98 with a Dana 40 solid axle. I'll post pictures tomorrow it's a beauty.

At under 20km it's got a really rough shake but goes away at around 40 and only shakes at cruising speeds when you give it a lot of throttle. Drive shafts have been balanced, one thing I did notice is that the front drive shaft isn't free spinning. Anyone have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it

Awesome, a dana 40 axle. lol

Are the tires balanced? This is much harder to do on big offroad tires.

Do you have lift blocks? It could explain the vibration under hard throttle.

Is the vibration in the steering wheel or the seat?

What are the specs on the truck, that will help greatly in diagnosing your issue.

edit: Ha! beat me to it! I don't like your driveline angles, that's a good way to crunch u-joints to dust.

PHUCK YOU for getting such a steal on that truck!

Cupping of the tires is from a shotty Suspension and/or tires not being balanced properly!

I know it going to suck but take it to a PRO and have him over look the suspension! Do this before you sink some money into any rubber!

Look into the Falken WildPeak A/T

great tire great price

Haha...

I just went through all the receipts that he gave me and they added up to 5100, hes such a nice guy I didn't even try to get him down so he gave me 100 back for gas cause it was nearly empty.

The frame and body are different and he told me the tires were on the other frame and it dog walked really bad. He said the problem just got bad about a month ago but that is a good idea to have someone else look it over.

PS. I was so giddy all night so I just said screw it and slept in it

Nice but that rear really should have less lift block, lil more spring and a shackle flip ...

No I didn't sleep in it lol....

I'm new to a solid axle and have a ton of questions, when it's it 2wheel shouldn't te front axle be free spinning?
