Just past 8am here those damn hamsters need to get out of bed. Over 30 seconds to just connect to the server each time. One of them must be chewing on cables somewhere.

This is pissing me off now I get timeouts.

Hey Soulsea, does it seriously take a long time to load a nav disc. Is this on start-up only or what? My Kenwood is solid state it it takes a few seconds. Corious.

The navigation is instant but it takes it 10-15 minutes to load points of interest ... the spin is louder than a 1992 pentium 1 Gateway.

I seem to be having an issue as well. yesterday my connection was as fast as every other site. Today its taking 15 to 30 seconds to open a page, and I have gotten a couple of "timed out" pages as well.

Ouch. My unit finds POI's in a few seconds. Maybe you should consider upgrading. Kenwood has a new H/U coming out soon with all kinds of goodies even can add a Bluetooth OBDII module. Kenwood Excelon DNX9980HD. Nav system is solid state. I don't have A DD opening so I had to get a single din Excelon and add the extra modules that I can spread out behind the dash.

I'll check into it for you guys. I havent been on since early yesterday so I havent seen the issues your having. Shaggy may have been doing some back ups or an update to the server. I know stuff like this can happen when that is done.
