Sometimes I think it would be worthwhile to take the vehicle in and ask that every single module be updated to the latest calibration available...The dealer won't do it...becasue they have no way to get paid by gm for it...but it sure would be nice to get the latest on everything.
Totally agree; I asked when the Serial Data Gateway was reprogrammed if they could update every module and they stared back at me like I was crazy. It's also strange to me that an Over the Air update won't automatically update every module to the latest firmware or calibration.

I understand that dealers probably want to charge for this, you'd think GM would want updates pushed out (if the owner wanted) to the vehicles OTA. I understand there are pros and cons to doing this, but if you ask the dealer and you get the 'crazy eye look' and you don't have the option for OTA, would OnStar be able to push updates? Seems like we can't win, as the customer.
