Trans Upgrade: Sonnax Line pressure Boost + Vette Servo

I have a 180k+ mile denali with what I assume is the original trans.

I'd like to take some precaution to make it live as long as possible, and have already installed a corvette servo.

Is anyone running both on an otherwise stock transmission?

And yes I am planning to upgrade my trans cooler. I'll be looking @ the ever popular 40k without the bypass.

If there is something else that I can upgrade to ensure longer life for a reasonable amount of $ without dropping the transmission I am certainly up for that. This is my first time making transmission modifications myself.

does the vette servo affect the average temperature of your transmission?

Based on two days driving my normal commute (obviously not a huge sample size yet), which involves a LOT of stop and go for ~45 mins+ I would say definitely yes.

I used to average a max of 160-170, and I have not seen over 150 yet(normally 120-140). Ambient temps were upper 70's for the return leg of my commute both times.

Shifts are crisp and quick and not jerky @ all.

Don't hesitate to do this mod.

did you have to drop crossmembers Etc. to get the servo swapped?
we have a lift at work, but its like im asking for someones kidney when I want to work on stuff here. if I can crawl under I could just do it at home.

Not at all. I did the install in my drive way with the rig on jacks. Had to partially disassemble and do a little wiggling to get the servo assembly out, but not hard to do.

i just had my tranny rebuilt initially just with the vette servo and all thatdoes is the more gas you give it the longer it holds the shift so IE foot to the floor it wont shift till red line
doesnt shift any hard maybe a hair quicker i didnt actuially notice much of a difference untill i had the stage 2 shift kit wich now squaks the tires a little and pushes my head back when it shifts when i put in to the floor if its slick and rainy itll break the tires loose in second

Mine seems to spend less time in between gears now. Which shift kit did you go with?

Wow sqawkin the tires with the 4.8? Nice.
