Big shout-out to @PPV12HOE for letting me know our local honey pot of GMT900 parts had a good tailgate. I have FINALLY gotten rid of the rusty holes out back.

This was from a different year than my 2010, as the silver has a very light tan hue in it. It isn't pewter, and since it's on the back it's pretty subtle.

I'm happy to say the least.

Also got my new LED lights, since one burned out. Went with a different brand, and thankfully they have all come down to about 1/2 the price they were a year ago. I'll update my headlight thread as well, for anyone following.

These new headlights are much better quality in construction. Less surface metal equals less retained heat. Also the emoled layout is much better constructed.

These will fit without having to clearance the bulkhead! I took a pic to show it.

Old on the left, new on the right.

The old style had this eye over the LED's, and is what failed on the other headlight.

The new lights

The top left corner is where I previously clearances the bulkhead when I did the HID retrofit. Plenty of room for air to circulate behind the fan and heatsink.

And the brand, just noting.

Custom tag. I fought with DMV to get and get a variant of SHP, for a joke more than anything. Since I'm public safety, my LE folks would have gotten a kick out of a tag similar to highway patrols. So I just got the NC and my classic combo of unreadable digits, like I used to have on my Corvettes. :D

Well since you guys are lucky with the selection of trucks down there.........let me know if you run across a set of front inner wheel well liners. Mine came with some cheap Chyna shit.

Well, it was time to freshen some things up. All new ball joints on the front end, new front brakes, alignment, and new wheels and tires. I'm pretty stoked I don't have to spray tire shine on my PPV wheels to get them to shine now. I picked up the wheels from RockAuto for about $83/. The bad part, 2 of them are out of round. No damage to the shipping boxes at all, so they came from Dorman that way.

Either way, rides like a damn dream. I went with a little different size this time, being 255/65's. And decided to go to the top shelf, so I put on Michelin Defender XLT's.

I'll get it cleaned up tomorrow and add some more pics.

Is this lowered or is it just the tire filling up the wheelwells ?
