Spacers?

I use this sight a lot when I'm trying to find hub size and lug nut size. My Tahoe is 78.1 so the replica wheels I just bought are 78.1 so I know my wheels are hub centric if I wanted to run spacers at some time I would be good to go.

As long as your spacer doesn’t extend past the face of the hub. I know on both mine the hub only extends about 1/4” from the face of the rotor so if I was to put 1/4” spacers that aren’t hub centric the wheel would be relying on the lugs to center it. The spacer needs to have that hub extension ie be hub centric. Just being the same bore diameter doesn’t cut it.

No. Reps are hub centric too. Like I said, if you’re relying on the lugs to center it and carry the weight (lug centric) you’re playing with fire. The hubs carry the weight as well as center the wheel on our vehicles period. If the lugs carry the weight you are asking for an accident. Here’s a decent article that explains it.

Spacers came in today, but I ran into a problem. I ended up getting the 6mm set since they were closest to 1/4" but they didn't clear. After doing some thinking, I'm wondering if a slip spacer is the way to go. Even if it does clear, it'll still be super super close to grinding, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I test fitted one of the 2.5" spacers I got for the rear up front, and had no issues at all. They stick out like 7" lol, more than the 22x14s on 375s did, but they did clear in the rear.



So for reference the wheel is rubbing where I circled. Wish I could have got an actual pic but I forgot to before I put the wheel back on. I'm wondering if maybe a bigger brake would help? They will clear if the caliper is brought out just a hair more. Otherwise, I'm looking at possibly just getting a 1" bolt on spacer, though I am concerned about the safety of putting a lot of miles on it




I almost wonder if I could get it machined to fit, but at the same time that seems kind of sketchy...

I should probably also add which brand I'm running. These have a limited lifetime warranty, 6061 aluminum, hubcentric etc etc. But I still don't really like the idea of spacers up front.
