Look around for local companies before you just buy from the company. See if they can make something..

not only a spare tire. but another rim, and depending if you go with a lift, im sure your going to go with bigger tires and rims.. The swing arm can only hold so much weight before it starts to tweet and fall.. youll have to open that ***** every time you want to go in the cargo area..

also when i go to the track i dont like to have the excess weight of the spare, so its just one less thing to remove.

say no the swing around unless you go off roading or travel on desolate roads. I have no spare tire bc of my rollpan. I just had a flat two weeks ago. I ride on 16's with a meaty tire. I drove her ten blocks on the flat to get it fixed.

My Tahoe is mainly used in places where AAA won't go. Even if they did, I often don't have cell service.

As far as the hinge is concerned it appears to be made from a front axle spindle with wheel bearings and is pretty heavy duty.

One of the rings on the bumper were used to pull the truck onto a flat bed when I did have to call AAA (new engine problems, someday I will write a story about that).

So far the only complaint I have is the bumper arrived with basically a black primer coating that didn't hold up well (note picture). As previously mentioned, I black epoxied it.

Yea I Do Write My School Papers Like This And The Teachers Aways Complain

Run Flat I Always Keep On Me Regardless So Much Easier Than Changing Out The Spare

But In Case The Tire Shreds And There Is No Tire To Put Run Flat Into Than Spare It Is

Hmm

A Swing Away Would Be Alright But They Do Sometimes Buckle With Big Tires So Maybe A Roof Rack With Lights?

Know Any Good Ones For 92 Yooks?

after reading this posting, I decided to contact one of my buddies at one of my favorite wheel builders. to see how much it would cost to build me a 7" wide wheel in a 26" then i can mount it under the back and it will only be seen at shows with mirrors under truck showing it off!! Thanks guys for making my mind run crazy!
