so I there's not a lot of these trucks left, and even less of the spare tire kits. but I wanted to post a few pics, since when I was looking there's almost nothing online about it.
so the hybrids didn't come with a spare, just a inflator with some fix a flat in it. so they sold an add on kit at the dealer. it seems it's designed the older 08 tahoe. in the instructions show they have a cross mount muffler. so the kit comes with a muffler to cut that off and replace it. my 2011 yukon already had a muffler before the axle and resonator after the axle in line, so I didn't need any exhaust mods. I did use the heat shield included. the bolt holes are already in the frame, so that's nice.
if you have a newer truck, or probably a yukon or caddy, you can easily do this without a kit. Just need the spare rim, the pulley lift part and the long that runs to it. should be easy at a junk yard or ebay. if you have an older one that needs the muffler. I have one, it will be tossed up top of my shed somewhere.
