spark plug anti seize

I'm going to replace the plugs & wires on my 04 Esky 6.0, do you need to use anti seize on the plugs? On my old OBS Tahoe never used anti seize and never had an issue

I put a small dab on the threads and die electric grease in the plug wire. I never had and problems and I have done it to everything I have owned.

I work at a dealership for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge. Anything with an aluminum head should have anti-seize used on the spark plugs. The factory even uses it when assembling the engines.

what everyone else said! use it and electric grease for the tips. here i the rust belt called Florida, it should be a requirement for all metal thingy's!!

Always used a little bit of copper grade anti seize on plugs and never had one get stuck.

I use it on most all threaded connections that see moisture or temperature changes to avoid extra work the next time. It doesn't take much. No self respecting mechanic puts metal to metal threads together dry.

I also use it on garlock gaskets not as a sealant but to allow future removal without tearing gasket. I don't work on cars much though.
