Spark Plug - Torque Setting?

I've done both ways. When there is a metal "gasket" or "washer" then it touches and you can feel it start to bottom out (nearing the squish limit) - that's when I stop. I'd say all things being equal if you have a torque wrench that has the range you need then it is probably safer to use that.
