I haven't had my 2007 tahoe but for a few months. But I have noticed a wine in speakers especially with the sound turned all the way down. I know it is normally a wire that isn't shielded properly. Has anyone else had this issue with the factory Nav and Bose system?

Yes, I have this problem. This was one of the issues that I was going to discuss with my service department.

It has done it since I have owned the vehicle (5 months)

+1 I have the same issue. I can only hear it when the radio is either off or very low.

Some call it alternator whine, usually a signal wire (rca) ran closely to a power wire, or could be a loose/bad ground. Check that and also if you have aftermarket amp you could add a ground loop isolater(sp?) and that should take care of it, if its all factory and in the actual speakers and not the sub...then i am of no use. Good Luck

I am going to add it to the list when I take it in for service since it is still covered under the certified warranty. I'll let everyone know what they say.

dealership says they may have to replace the stereo. :( Will update whenever they finish.

On a high note, they gave me an Equinox as a loaner. Its no Tahoe in size, but its a pretty slick little vehicle. The fuel mileage is nice.

Nice maybe they could replace it with the newer head unit with the ipod connection and XM traffic :)

Let me know if that is what they do, since mine will probably need the same thing done.

Oddly enough (or maybe it's not), they replaced the alternator to fix the problem. Said there was a bad diode in the alternator even though I have not had any charging issues.

Anyway, it seems to have fixed the problem.

The alternator might be the case with mine too. I have noticed somedays the gauge goes down to about 8-9volts and then it shoots up to 14 volts kinda has a mind of its own, but never throws a check light to alert there an issue.
