i have a 2003 chevy tahoe with Bose, and recently started to hear some distortion from the rear door speakers.. Now, having a Bose system, and if i wanted to get new speakers, what would i have to do? would i go to crutchfield and put in my car info and order and install? or is there more to it?

any help would be great for a first time Tahoe NOOB. thanks :emotions122:

Bose systems run on 2 ohms. So whatever you replace your existing speakers with, make sure they are 2 ohm. I used infinitys in my fronts. They sound fine, but you will want to make an enclosure for them if theres not one there already. I just googled 2 ohm speakers and went from there.
Good luck!

Or.......you could run new speaker wires to each of your new speakers, bypassing the BOSE amps. But you can only do that if you have an aftermarket stereo. Its more work, but cheaper than the BOSE integration modules from Crutchfield.
