Speedometer Failure ???

I have a 05 Tahoe. Just recently the speedo fails to work after about 35 to 50 minutes of driving, but will work again after a small shut down period. Has this happened to anyone else??

Ya, it is the gear. You have to get it replaced. Very common. Pretty soon it will not work at all.
