Thanks for the helpful answers so far, now I've got questions so I suppose its time to contribute. My intro, briefly:

I am a 10 year GMC salesman in an iddy biddy GMC/Buick/Cadillac (formerly Pontiac and Oldsmobile also) dealership in the Ozark hills.. I just recently swapped out this 253k mile beast:

For this 2003 Yukon SLT with some sweet mods...

Anyway, I'll poke around and ask my questions and such now, just figured it'd be polite to introduce myself. :)

You had the original Z71 Tahoe.

Those were rare.

Yeah, I almost kinda miss it for that reason.. And you couldn't tell by looking at it, but in that photo it had 245k on the original powertrain!

Which is why I went ahead and jumped on the 2003... Turns out it was built up to be perfect for my purposes, hideaway Warn ***** up front, ARB locker in the rear, complete with compressor!! Oh, and the tires, wheels and flares.. Can't forget those!

Now all it needs is the Z-71 Tahoe roof rack, a brush guard and some Z71 badges and it'll be complete!

Thanks y'all, the 2003 will look soo much better after I do a full detail/paint correction this spring...

Oh, I haven't mentioned the wore out old DD, now our LS1 garage queen.. Here she is:
