I need springs. I have a 98 tahoe 4dr 2wd. I tow a boat so no drops. I need stiffer springs than stock. Over the summer I tried a set of load leveling coil over shocks. The spring rates are rated at 1200lbs total (both) 600 each. It was not enough to help level the rear out. I have the biggest rise on the trail ball I can get with out interfering with my rear doors. I then added a set of helper springs with the load level shocks and it is finally where I need it hight wise but it also help the way the truck drives with no trailer so much that I left both on there after my big trip to the keys and love the way it almost totally eliminated body roll. after that I wanted to combat sway so I also added a helwig swaybar to the rear. Still sways but I think it has more to do with the freakin 75 series tires than suspension. If the front had a stiffer spring it would be perfect for me. Anyone know if there are stiffer springs out there? where can I get them? and have any of you used them? I have a feeling the rear leafs are flat out shot. I shouldn't have to add that much spring to them to get them to hold a 21 foot bay boat on a tandem axle. Also what would be some good shocks to help manage the stiffer spring rate?
