Spyder LED Tails - Passenger side harness too short

I got a set of smoked Spyder LED tails for the Suburban and when I went to install them the wiring harness on the passenger side seems to be too short. I even tried disconnecting at the junction block under the truck, thinking I could plug it back in when I was done and had the tail light bolted in place, but it is too short for that.

Have others found this, and if so what have you done? I could cut the harness and lengthen it, but I feel like I shouldn't have to do that to make these lights work, they should be plug and play. I was wondering if maybe the tail light harness from a Silverado would be any longer and hopefully have the same plugs on both ends.

I have whole set coming for my Yukon. I will be installing this weekend. I will let you know what happens when I try to install the taillights.

Should be plug and play. Lots of people run these lights (myself included) and they do tend to be short. Check bulb placement as they go into different positions from stock locations.

I will have to try again when I get a chance, but pretty sure I had them in the correct positions. Powered up and worked as expected but couldn't get back into position. I have a harness from a truck on the way, and I think it will be a little longer. If that doesn't work I will cut the harness and extend it. Don't have a lot of free time right now to mess with this though, we had twins last week, so they are my priority.

i had the same problem with my led tail lights. passenger side also, you will need to cut the wires and add a bit too it.

Mine weren't too short to where I needed to extend the wires, but it was very close on both sides

I just installed a set in my Yukon. The passenger side was a little short but I managed to get them hooked up.

I got a harness from a truck (99-02 Silverado, or 99-06 Sierra). Plugged right in and plenty long (had to make a loop and tie it up underneath to take up the extra slack). Got the harness for $15.

You shouldn't have to cut and extend anything. I just climbed under the truck and pulled as much of the harness I could to give it more slack. Gave me plenty of harness to work with

Did that, but still wasn't long enough. All solved now though.
