Hi All

I had a friend install the CCM leveling kit on my 2007 Z71 Tahoe. Now that it has been installed every time I am driving I hear squeaking. Even when I get out of the Tahoe and shut the doors I hear the squeak. I couldn't find a thread that talked about this, so I didn't know if anyone else ran into this problem. I hope someone can help me with this. It may be something other than the leveling kit, but I didn't run into this until after it was installed. I appreciate everyones feedback.

Thanks
Derek

How many miles on your truck?
Try lifiting the truck until the tires are off the ground.

Then go to your A-Arm bolts and loosen them a bit. That will take the stress off of the rubber bushings on your A-Arms. Get your jack and put it under the spindle and lift it as much as you can or until you start lifting the truck. That will simulate the SUV's weight. Then tighten them back up. This happens alot to people that install lowering shackles on their trucks. They tighten evrything to death with no weight and when they lower it the bushing is under stress.

I have about 73k on the truck now. I will try that to see if it takes away the squeak. I appreciate the response. Thank you.

Spray both control arm bushings (2 on the upper, 2 on the lower) with grease or penetrating oil.
Also spray the lower shock mount. The issue will go away for at least 6 months.

Had the same problem when I did mine last year. Drove me crazy. Sprayed everything down and nothing worked. Finally traced to the the bracket that holds the brake cable on the rear passenger side. It was rubbing on the Stabilizer Link. I just zip tied a piece of rubber between them and the squeak was gone. Hopefully that is your problem.
