Wife is traveling with our trailer. We had electric brakes and controller installed last week.
The guys she hired to load the trailer put most of the weight up front, so there's too much weight on the tongue, thus too much weight on the rear end.
She just called from Atlanta and said she's getting an ABS light, Service Traction Control and Stabilitrak warnings.

Almost sure this has to do the weight distribution and/or electric brakes.

Is this a "serious" issue, or just reduced/no traction control?

She wants to know if she should keep going. She drives like a grandma, so I'm thinking she won't have any issues unless she hits some rain.

What say you?

Thanks

Can't guess hundreds of miles away. If it were me and it was my wife, I'd want those issues solved before continuing. Those features are pretty important to have functional especially when hauling a load. Regret is a terrible thing to have to live with.......

Followup:
Wife stopped in Tupelo, Ms. for the night. She was able to hire a couple of guys to move a couple of solid oak fireplace mantles (guessing 400lbs ea.), to the rear of the trailer. This raised the vehicle up about 3".
She said the messages cleared. She continued to our lake house with no more issues.
Had a GM tech explain that the rear air shocks were probably compressed all the way from the weight and the compressor computer could not lift the vehicle, so it shut the traction control and stabilitrak off.
She made it to the lake and disconnected the trailer. No problems so far, but I told her she could've damaged the air shocks and/or computer.
She got lucky this time, and knew better than to load the trailer like that. She's been hauling horses, tractors, etc. for 20+ years. She knows about load distribution. Just got in a hurry this time and messed up...but got lucky. Bet she won't do that again. o_O
