Hey Yall I got a problem with my 99 Tahoe started a year ago and wouldnt happen till i drove the car for 3-4 hours i would shut it off and start it back up and it would be good for a while . Now it will act up after I drive for 1/2 hour or so ! and it only happens while im in drive and on the gas . the motor will surge almost feels like someone is turning the key on and off but it doesnt die all the way just cuts in and out and seems like its all the cylinders at once not a misfire on a sinle cylinder . i have had one code for a long time but it comes and goes and the check engine hasnt been on for a long time the code was a lean bank code probably oxygen sensor anyways I have replaced the ign control module, ignitoin coil, camshaft position sensor , crankshaft pos sensor , checked fuel pressure while i was driving ant it was dying and it stayed dteady at 60 something . I also checked voltage going into the coil at the coil and had batt voltage steady while it was dying and also the ground side of the coil and that also looked fine . checked all grounds and connectors everywhere . ????????????????? Maybe im losing injector pulse or spark after the coil ??? runs great when its not cutting out. p.s. engine temp never goes above normal temp 190 -210 and the air temp it normally driven in is never hotter than 90 in the summer 8,000 feet elevation ?

not sure what the code was but i had it way before the stalling issue the ck engine light hasnt been on in a long time i could probably pull the codes again and see if it is still in there. but i do know it was a lean bank code

Please try. And could you also give the condition of your MAF sensor for damage to the internal exposed elements and cleanliness as well as cleanliness of throttle body inside and make sure your MAP sensor is not loose in its mounting on the back of the plenum? Also do you have any ground wires attached to the thermostat housing?

My initial suspicion is that something is suffering a heat related failure.
