Stalling out!

Whats up guys,
I have a 99 Yukon and it keeps stalling out on me. When its at a low idle it stalls out while driving. The other day I was backing out of a parking spot and it died on me again, I killed the battery trying to restart it. I had it towed to my mechanic and he has not a clue as to whats going on. He says he jumped it off and started right up and it hasn't died yet. Any Ideas as to what is the issue is? Please help me I'm going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

Do a tune up if you haven't in a year or two for starters.

When it dies, is it stumbling, or is it just shutting off?

Its just shutting off! Sometimes I don't realize it. Sometimes I will come out of the store or something like that and it just won't start. It sounds like its not getting fuel.

ya, those symptoms definitely sound like a fuel pump that's on it's last legs, for sure.
i had the same thing happen to me twice. came out and the Yukon wouldn't start. got it towed and it'd fire up for the mechanic. tho the second time they had to kick the tank a few times first, and that's how they KNEW the pump was the culprit.

glad that's solved. now just don't skimp and settle on a non-OEM pump! you'll regret it.
