Start with a Denali or Yukon???

I drive a heavy truck at work with a 350 SBC,so a 5.3 LS engine in a Yukon is plenty powerful for me.I just see a 6.0 as being some major overkill,not essential in my eyes.

As a 5.3 man myself I agree with you - it's plenty powerful. Now the 4.8 on the other hand......

I'm starting to be swayed toward the Denali.Its beginning to look like the MPG difference between the 5.3/4WD and 6.0/AWD is not enough to start a project.From reading,it seems that the difference might be 2-3 mpg. Does that sound right?

I got to figure that locating and swapping the exterior parts will cost a few grand.That could buy a lot of gas.I probably will put about 10-15K miles on the truck a year.
