starter issues.

so i went to stat my hoe today and it sounds like my starter is literly skipping gear teeth but it still starts. it sounds like there grinding. can anyone help me with this?

you will have to remove the starter and inspect its teeth and flywheels as well for broken pieces. Also check for any cracks on starter mount bosses on block.

solinoid going out, its weak and not fully engageing the drive gear to flywheel.

Common on 5.7's with stock manifolds that cover that strater like a blanket.

check for corrosion or partially burnt wires...
