Starter Problems?????

So I've been having a recurring issue with the hoe....some days I get in and she starts fine....other days she gives me issues like somewhat of a click and a real rough turn over but starts up...I thought maybe my amp was draining my battery but all the connections are good....I'm thinking its the starter...I'ma go out and check my battery ground and knock the dang thing with a hammer and see what that does....let me know what yall think it is....I don't wanna drop 170 on a starter and not need it... when it drags on initial start up, get a meter and pop hood, check voltage really quick. If it reads good, and still drags, bang lightly with hammer on starter. If it fires up, starter. Another cheap insurance, is new wire from battery to starter. Not like it couldn't use it anyways. But had an issue one time, pullled alt, took it in, tested fine. Took batt in, tested fine, went back, pulled starter, fine...aaahhh

was just the lead wire from batt to starter...under $20 and wasted half a day, looking at 'good'stuff.

and that will prolly be the only thing wrong with it on mine lol...and the bad thing is all my tools are inacessable(sp?).....got the whole garage full of our furniture and boxes....we just staged the house to put on the market....well i got a long weekend ahead of me as my day has been f'ed since jump street....

Looks like it was my battery.....gave me a reason to get a optima yellowtop.....you know i think my system is hitting alot harder with it too.
