Looking to get an aftermarket one, anyone know any where abouts? i think this ones already aftermarket, but its looking a little old and worn out bushings.
for those that dont know what a steering damper looks like, the black bar/shock right next to my horns at the bottom..

a steering damper helps absorb road shock and prevents the shock from reaching the steering wheel. also called a stabilizer.

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks..

I dont see a need for you to run a new aftermarket steering stabilizer or worry about replacing w/ a better one. Doesnt do any harm of course but you just dont really have too much of a worry in "needing" one. The benefit (if any) comes with running heavy ass tires that like to pull on pavement cracks, or ruts.
However a lot of people who argue in favor of them talk about the benefit in correcting "bump steer" and "tightening" up the steering. Even though IFS trucks dont have bump-steer characteristics, and the tightening up is not there either, all its doing is putting more resistance on the centerlink giving the feeling of being more tight. also on a side note its cool you have one, it almost looks stock which i didnt think they came stock.

Yeah, I need to add one. What are the different kits, and where do they attach? I don't like the idea of the one pictured above. No offense, Atomic. :)

you dont like the idea of what?? that is a damper! if you dont like the idea, then why would you get one?? One part goes from the frame and then attaches to a steering component obviously. centerlink or whatever..

Hahahaha. you know I love you, mang. I'm more curious about mounting options. I'd rather not have it so close to the crank pulley. Is there another way to do it? I would like to run dual shocks because my tires are really grippy, and I'm fighting it on dry pavement, not to mention on the rocks. FWIW, I just replaced my sway bar linkage with Moog poly parts, and it really helped tame the ride. It's amazing.

I ran one stock and now lifted, not a whole lot of difference if everything is in working order and not worn out

Hmm, looks like this is off the list.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Hellwig sway bars, which come with poly bushings and doing poly bushings everywhere else.
