So I have a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali XL and it came with a Pioneer double din headunit already installed, I bought a Aswc-1 so I can make use of the steering wheel control because he hadn't put one in. I can't seem to get the signal to lock from the steering wheel.

I've also brought it to a professional shop and they also can't seem to get the device to work with the steering wheel control. The guy gave up and told me he couldn't do it.

All the lights on the steering wheel button don't work. Don't know if it work before because the previous owner had the head unit installed when I bought it. I check the fuse under the steering wheel to see it if work and it does.

I don't know what else to check...... Does anyone on the forum have encountered this before???

I have that issue as well with my Pioneer. Have a DD and a shop said they are still trying to find a part for it. I have given up since the install several years ago. There may be a part made now, but I don't really care to check. My arm is more than enough to reach out and push a button.
Would be nice to have control, but not worth dealing with the shop.

the ASCW-1 has a programming procedure. (turning the truck on and off and holding the button) assuming u are doing the learn procedure?........... the lights may not be working due to the bulbs being out but if you think the switch may be bad its only $20 on amazon and really easy to change out. you may want to give that a try
