Ok so i just got some new tires and wheels put on a few days ago and i noticed that my steering wheel shimmys from about 45 to 65 miles an hour, its not constant through that range, its the worst at 50, i cranked my torsion bars a little before i got the new wheels and tires and i noticed that it did it then too just not as bad as now, which makes sense cause the new tires are a lot stiffer then the old, you can tell by the ride, my question is that is the shimmy caused by bad alignment? Ive never owned a vehicle with torsion bar front suspension, only solid front axles, and usually shimmy on those (aka death wobble in jeep terms) was caused by bad alignment lol

and i have NOT had an alignment since i cranked my torsion bars, i know i need one and its on the to do list for this week, im also not ruling out that the tires aren't perfectly balanced, ive had that happen before

sorry for the useless rambling lol :sleepy10:

align it.

What kind of tires? I had tires that did this before. All the alignments and tire balancing in teh world could not fix it

they are general grabber at2s, ive owned them before and they have been awesome, but they could be a bad batch, and the brakes are brand new, i didnt do them though so i dont know where they are from so they could be junk and are already warped, i know they are super noisy and if they dont stop im gonna take them off and see what i can do
